Arts and Crafts of Shoebox Dioramas

There are a lot of common ways to make a shoebox diorama and includeTape, glue, construction paper and all the regular assortment of arts and crafts stuff, but there are a few things you can do to make a diorama just a little bit special. Here is a list of ideas:

If you do an underwater scene can be the front of the box with Saran Wrap or thin plastic cover. This gives the diorama an underwater feel
Allows you to use strings to suspend all three dimensions in a box, wire rope or string objects side to side and top toobjects down, and fix them on the ropes. This works well for flying objects like bird, pterodactyls or even clouds and stars.
Slots in the back and top of the window and use this to insert objects can move across the diorama. Make a bird, boat, comet or some other type of moving object then attach a tab to the back. Insert this card into the slot, then you can grab the card from behind and push the object through the diorama. This adds quite a bit 'interactiveElement. This works well with all kinds of things from a rising sun, flying birds, volcanic eruption or anything else that moved.
Thinking outside the shoebox! No need to run and buy a new pair of shoes, unless you have a shoe box. More than adequate box can be cut and cereals with tape together pieces of cardboard or even a few cases. And there is no need to make a typical shoebox shape. Be creative in the way we do. It adds a dimension of interestthe project. semicircular amphitheater, are standard forms used for dioramas and look great.
Achieving Depth - The most common characteristic of an average shoebox diorama is that it has placed a decorated background and objects on the bottom. You can touch an attractive decoration of a strip of paper about two inches wide with a foliage pattern then attach this inside the bottom of the diorama is about one cm from the back wall - it reaches all the way from left sidePage right. This is a great depth and makes it look much more interesting.
The use of alternative materials - is not necessary to use on cards or boxes. For example, if you do, a polar bear or penguin diorama you can use white packing Styrofoam. If you do, a desert scene you can glue on the bottom of the diorama and sprinkle real sand apply to them.

Theme Ideas and Learning

The largest point of aShoebox diorama is a habitat to prove something. In the design process and cut out individual items is a child learning about the habitat. This is great, but can be taken to new heights with a little 'thinking and a bit' of creativity.

Freezing a moment in time - A diorama is a moment in time, and you can concentrate on that. Or you can showto eat large predatory fish in a smaller fish eating, as is even smaller. These dramatic moment in time is a good representation of the food chain.
Interactions in a habitat - The focus of a diorama is too often correctly identify the objects and place for a natural habitat, But You Can raise to a new level of interaction within the habitat. The top layer of a rainforest canopy blocks sunlight from the lower layers, and this is an important aspect ofrainforest. A coral reef provides shelter for many sea creatures and a diorama can display.
